YouthTruth offers three survey instruments: the Student Survey, Family Survey, and Staff Survey. These instruments are designed to include many aligned questions that you can use to identify the “experience gaps” across groups in your community. For example, it can be useful to understand how students experience safety at school more or less positively than their family members or the staff members at their school. Below, or by clicking on the instruments your district or school has surveyed with, you can explore the aligned questions across YouthTruth’s instruments.
What is your school level?
Why survey across school stakeholders?
YouthTruth’s latest report, Learning From Student Voice: School Discipline, took one of YouthTruth’s aligned survey questions — “Is discipline at this school fair?’ — and examined responses across students, family, and staff. As a national nonprofit committed to elevating student and stakeholder voices on critical issues in education, we wanted to know: what do students, families, and staff think about discipline and fairness at their school? Our analysis provides an example of the kinds of insights that multi-stakeholder feedback data can elevate to help educators design and improve better schools.
