Our research-based surveys ask age- and reading-level appropriate questions on the topics that matter most. All students can toggle between English and Spanish. Elementary students can also use text to speech.

School & District Leaders Workshop
$3,500 (virtual) or $7,500 (in-person)

About: In this popular workshop, school and district leaders will gain a deep understanding of their data and prepare to lead data-informed change. Participants will do a deep dive into their YouthTruth reports to better understand the experiences of their students, and if applicable, their family and/or staff as well. School and district leaders will use YouthTruth’s comparative data alongside research-based data protocols to learn how their school’s survey results compare to other schools with similar characteristics. Participants will leave with an understanding of their data and a plan to close the feedback loop and use the data throughout the academic year.

Partners who are experienced interpreting data or have previously completed a YouthTruth School Leaders Workshop or other YouthTruth professional learning

About: In this workshop, school and district leaders will engage with their survey data to better understand the diverse experiences of their students and stakeholders. Participants will collaborate on equity-focused activities that will allow them to identify and explore experience gaps in their own community, and to investigate the causes of these gaps. Participants will identify action items to make their schools and district a more equitable place to learn, work, and grow.

Data for Social-Emotional & Academic Development (SEL/SEAD) Workshop
$3,500 (virtual) or $7,500 (in-person)

About: In this workshop, school and district leaders will investigate their students’ survey data with a SEL/SEAD LENS to apply lessons-learned to building a more prosocial school culture. This workshop uses the Center for Academic Social and Emotional Learning’s (CASEL) SEL framework as a tool to strategically investigate and organize students’ responses so that leadership teams can set SEL/SEAD goals that are anchored in student voice data.

Student Voice Workshop
$3,500 (virtual) or $7,500 (in-person)

Who should attend?

This workshop is intended for students from across the district at a given level (elementary, middle, or high). YouthTruth encourages schools and districts to think broadly when considering which students are invited to participate in student leader workshops. Convenings benefit from a diverse group that includes students in formal leadership positions and who are also representative of the broader, district-wide community.

About: In this workshop, YouthTruth will support a group of student leaders across high schools, middle schools, or elementary schools (grades 3-5) to make meaning of YouthTruth data and inform district strategic work. Students will engage in age-appropriate interactive activities tailored to district priority areas with the goal of generating data-rich student-driven contributions. Student Voice Workshops can be designed around generating insights that inform district accountability plans, creating materials to strengthen grant proposals, and/or preparing students for student-led board presentations.

How to Lead Your Own Student Voice Workshop

Relevant school and district leaders; if applicable, this workshop can also include representatives from partner organization that help a district promote student agency

About: YouthTruth will facilitate a workshop to equip school and district teams to lead their own student voice workshop(s). Participants will practice facilitating student-friendly protocols and leading activities designed to generate valuable student insights. Participants will also learn about a variety of creative ways to empower students – as agents of change in their community – to close the feedback loop with their teachers, parents, and peers.

About: YouthTruth will design a workshop to support the organization, analysis, and application of YouthTruth data to demonstrate principles of continuous improvement and meet the demands of the accreditation process. This workshop can focus on activities to help identify evidence from YouthTruth reports to instantiate goals and growth in areas including school culture, student and family engagement, support for social-emotional learning, discipline, and equity. This workshop can also be designed to help accreditation teams demonstrate commitment to stakeholder feedback and collaboration by engaging students, staff, and others in data-rich conversations centered on key indicators that drive student achievement and well-being.

Site Council Workshop
$4,000 (virtual) or $8,000 (in-person)

All school site council members across all schools

60-75 minutes

Any; particularly helpful following a district-wide workshop

About: Similar to the site council workshop, PTA members will receive a high-level presentation of district-wide key ratings and, if applicable, trends over time. In this workshop, participants will be provided tools and coaching to investigate school-level data in the context of district-wide goals. Particular focus will be placed on Family Survey data (if applicable). Participants will leave ideas for sharing insight with the wider parent community in ways that are geared towards building a community of respectful and constructive feedback.

Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Workshop
$4,000 (virtual) or $8,000 (in-person)

All PTA members
