YouthTruth hosts national webinar of Students Weigh In, Part III Findings

August 16, 2021Jay KustkaResource, YT in the News
On Friday, August 13th, YouthTruth hosted a national discussion of the findings from the third and final Students Weigh In report. Over 200 education, nonprofit, and philanthropic leaders RSVP’d to learn about the findings and hear from an expert panel about how the data can help throughout the 2021-22 school year and beyond.

What did students say about learning and well-being under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic this past year? In this webinar, you’ll:

          • Receive access to the national findings,
          • Hear how education leaders and funders are responding, and
          • Participate alongside others in putting student voice at the center of the new school year.

Opening Remarks

Titilola Harley is a Program Officer on the US Program’s K-12 Solutions team for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Her work focuses on cross-cutting areas (such as Culturally Responsive Education) that are integral to improving the educational experiences and academic outcomes for students who are Black, Latino, and English learner-designated, and are experiencing poverty.

Titi started her career in education as a Business Analyst in the Office of Special Education at DC Public Schools and then transitioned to management consulting to pursue her interest in helping education agencies bring about real change and better meet the needs of students from all backgrounds. While working in consulting she led and supported projects in areas such as strategic planning, performance management, program implementation and evaluation and data system adoption with educators across the United States. In 2015 she branched out and started her own consulting firm, Harley Consulting Group, where she has partnered with a variety of organizations including non-profits, start-ups, and foundations to create solutions, provide tools, and share expertise to help them successfully manage change and exceed their goals. Titi is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and working collaboratively to solve problems and improve opportunities and outcome for the most vulnerable students. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the George Washington University. Titi loves to travel, and she and her husband live in Maryland with their 4-year-old son, Caleb, and 2-year-old daughter, Chole.
