Too often in education, important decisions are made without the voices of those most affected – the students. How can we give agency to the young people we’re ultimately trying to serve, so that they are empowered to help co-create a positive school climate? How can we tap into the student experience to close achievement gaps by race, family income, and English Language Learner status?
This panel features district leaders who have incorporated student perception data to increase student engagement, improve college readiness, prevent bullying, and guide technology transformations in their schools. You will hear about their experiences integrating student voice, and share your own perspectives, challenges, and victories. Together we will compile best practices for gathering and using student feedback to drive student achievement.
