Webinar for Educators and Education Funders
What did 85,000 students say about learning and well-being under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic this fall? Learn about the national findings, hear how education leaders are responding, and join us in putting student voice at the center of recovery.
Join in the work of listening to students, and learn about the findings from the Students Weigh In, part II: Learning & Well-Being During COVID-19 report. YouthTruth’s Dr. Jen de Forest and Jimmy Simpson, Jr. will present the key findings that emerged from the responses of over 85,000 students from nearly 250 schools across 14 states. Titilola Harley, Program Officer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will set the context, and a panel of visionary leaders from school systems that participated in the project will share their hands-on experience incorporating student voice in planning and pivoting through the academic year. Participants will leave with greater empathy for students’ unique experiences of school during a global pandemic, a greater understanding of the challenges facing school systems right now, and insight into the opportunities to strategically support students now.
